The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्वचिज्जना मार्दवसुन्दरेषु क्वचित्कठोरेषु च संचरन्ति ।
देशान्तरालेषु निरन्तरेषु वनान्तखण्डेष्विव कृष्णसाराः ॥ ३९ ॥

kvacijjanā mārdavasundareṣu kvacitkaṭhoreṣu ca saṃcaranti |
deśāntarāleṣu nirantareṣu vanāntakhaṇḍeṣviva kṛṣṇasārāḥ || 39 ||

Men are found to resemble the black antelopes (in their wanderings):some of them roving about the sweet, soft and beautiful sceneries of the country, and others roaming in sterile tracts and parts of boundless forests.
