The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.19.16

शैशवं च मनश्चैव सर्वास्वेव हि वृत्तिषु ।
भ्रातराविव लक्ष्येते सततं भङ्गुरस्थिती ॥ १६ ॥

śaiśavaṃ ca manaścaiva sarvāsveva hi vṛttiṣu |
bhrātarāviva lakṣyete satataṃ bhaṅgurasthitī || 16 ||

Minority seems to be a twin brother to the mind, and resembles it in the unsteadiness and frailty of all its purposes.
