The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.27; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अस्य सख्यं, यथा —
वन-भ्रमण-केलिभिर् गुरुभिर् अह्नि खिन्नीकृतः
सुखं स्वपितु नः सुहृद् व्रज-निशान्त-मध्ये निशि ।
अहं शिरसि मर्दनं मृदु करोमि कर्णे कथां
त्वम् अस्य विसृजन्न् अलं सुबल सक्थिनी लालय ॥३.३.२७॥

asya sakhyaṃ, yathā —
vana-bhramaṇa-kelibhir gurubhir ahni khinnīkṛtaḥ
sukhaṃ svapitu naḥ suhṛd vraja-niśānta-madhye niśi |
ahaṃ śirasi mardanaṃ mṛdu karomi karṇe kathāṃ
tvam asya visṛjann alaṃ subala sakthinī lālaya
||3.3.27||

English translation

The friendship of Maṇḍalībhadra:
“Our friend Kṛṣṇa has become very tired because of wandering around playing in the forest for a long time. Now He should sleep comfortably in His house in Vraja at night. I will gently massage His head. Subala! You should massage His legs while speaking in His ear.”
