Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. ते वै रत्नभुजं कृष्णं रत्नार्हं पृथिवीश्वराः ।
राजानश्चक्रुरासाद्य मोक्षिता महतो भयात् ॥ १२ ॥

te vai ratnabhujaṃ kṛṣṇaṃ ratnārhaṃ pṛthivīśvarāḥ |
rājānaścakrurāsādya mokṣitā mahato bhayāt || 12 ||
