The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 12.42

इत्यर्थं ब्राह्मणा लोके परमब्रह्मवादिनः ।
ब्रह्मचर्यं चरन्तीह ब्राह्मणान् वासयन्ति च ॥ ४२ ॥

ityarthaṃ brāhmaṇā loke paramabrahmavādinaḥ |
brahmacaryaṃ carantīha brāhmaṇān vāsayanti ca || 42 ||

'For this reason the Bramans in the world, discoursing on the supreme Brahman, practise here a rigorous course of sacred study and let other Bramans live with them to follow it also.'
