This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.36

एको शाक्यकुमारो शाक्यसुतो शाकियोत्तमकुलीनो ।
शाक्यकुलनंदिजननो बुद्धो तथ बोधयति लोकं ॥ ३६ ॥

eko śākyakumāro śākyasuto śākiyottamakulīno |
śākyakulanaṃdijanano buddho tatha bodhayati lokaṃ || 36 ||

“That one Shakyan prince, offspring of Shakyans, of the highest Shakyan stock, the joy of the Shakyan clan, the Buddha, with those words woke the world to truth.” (36)
