This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 86.20

ततो हंमि प्रादुरहु ब्रह्मा लोके सनातनो ।
यस्य वाचं श्रुत्वा जहामि युष्माकं गृहं च केवलं ॥ २० ॥

tato haṃmi prādurahu brahmā loke sanātano |
yasya vācaṃ śrutvā jahāmi yuṣmākaṃ gṛhaṃ ca kevalaṃ || 20 ||

But then Brahma the Eternal Youth appeared to me, and when I had heard his words I fain would leave your house and everything. (20)
