This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.160

यद् एष जातो असदृश पुण्यवन्तो कम्पे सशैला वसुमति षड्विकारं ।
ओभासिता दश दिशता अभूषि दिव्या च वाद्या अघट्टिता संप्रवाद्यि ॥ १६० ॥

yad eṣa jāto asadṛśa puṇyavanto kampe saśailā vasumati ṣaḍvikāraṃ |
obhāsitā daśa diśatā abhūṣi divyā ca vādyā aghaṭṭitā saṃpravādyi || 160 ||

“When this peerless, virtuous man was born, the earth with its rocks shook six times. The ten quarters of the world were all lit up. Celestial musical instruments gave forth music without anyone playing them. (160)
