This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 51.44

पूर्वेनिवासं भगवां पूर्वेजातिम् अनुस्मरन् ।
जातकम् इदम् आख्यासि शास्ता भिक्षूण सन्तिके ॥ ४४ ॥

pūrvenivāsaṃ bhagavāṃ pūrvejātim anusmaran |
jātakam idam ākhyāsi śāstā bhikṣūṇa santike || 44 ||

The Exalted one, the Master, calling to mind a former abode, a former birth, related this Jataka to his monks. (44)
