This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 27.83

सर्वेषां वो करिष्यामि वचनम् अनुशासनीं ।
दृष्टो धार्मिकथया वो अर्थो यं सांपरायिकः ॥ ८३ ॥

sarveṣāṃ vo kariṣyāmi vacanam anuśāsanīṃ |
dṛṣṭo dhārmikathayā vo artho yaṃ sāṃparāyikaḥ || 83 ||

“I shall act in accordance with the words of counsel spoken by you all. For I have learnt from your talk on justice what is profitable for the life beyond.” (83)
