The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ध्वनन्तोऽब्धिजलानीव भान्ति भावाश्चिदात्मकाः ।
संकल्पादीनि नामानि तेषामाहुर्मनीषिणः ॥ ४९ ॥

dhvananto'bdhijalānīva bhānti bhāvāścidātmakāḥ |
saṃkalpādīni nāmāni teṣāmāhurmanīṣiṇaḥ || 49 ||

The revolution of the eternal thoughts of the divine mind, resembles the rolling waves of the deep; and these are termed by sages, as the will or volitions of the ever wilful mind of God.
