The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.137.18

उदयावयवाश्लेषस्पष्टास्पष्टमरुद्रतैः ।
स्थित्यन्तानां तु वैषम्यादागामिगदसूचकम् ॥ १८ ॥

udayāvayavāśleṣaspaṣṭāspaṣṭamarudrataiḥ |
sthityantānāṃ tu vaiṣamyādāgāmigadasūcakam || 18 ||

It is the free and slow passage of the vital airs through the lungs, that regulates the circulation of blood in all parts of the body; and this determines the state of the bodily humours, a derangement of which tends to generation of future diseases.
