The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निगीर्णं जगदङ्गस्थं कृत्वा तृप्तिमुपागता ।
परिनृत्यति सा मत्ता जगज्जीर्णाहि चातकी ॥ ४७ ॥

nigīrṇaṃ jagadaṅgasthaṃ kṛtvā tṛptimupāgatā |
parinṛtyati sā mattā jagajjīrṇāhi cātakī || 47 ||

The chaotic Kali, having devoured and assimilated the world in herself; dances with joy like the peacock, after gorging a snake in its belly, and at the appearance of a dark cloud.
