The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.81.12

कृशाशक्ता यदा स्थातुं सुदीर्घा विधिना तदा ।
ग्रथितेव शिरारूपैर्दामभिर्दैर्घ्यशालिभिः ॥ १२ ॥

kṛśāśaktā yadā sthātuṃ sudīrghā vidhinā tadā |
grathiteva śirārūpairdāmabhirdairghyaśālibhiḥ || 12 ||

Her stature was so lean and long, that it could not stand by itself;and was supported like a skeleton, by the ligaments of the ribs, and ligatures of arteries, which uphold it fast from falling.
