The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यावद्दृष्टो मया तत्र शैलादिव विनिर्मितः ।
परमेष्ठी समाधिस्थः प्रधानपरिवारवान् ॥ २ ॥

yāvaddṛṣṭo mayā tatra śailādiva vinirmitaḥ |
parameṣṭhī samādhisthaḥ pradhānaparivāravān || 2 ||

While I was looking at that light, I beheld the great Brahma sitting as a statue carved in stone, intent upon his meditation of supreme One, and beset by his transcendent glory all about him.
