The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अर्धदग्धद्रुमवनव्यूहशैवलसंकटः ।
त्रैलोक्यभस्मसंसृष्ट आसीत्कर्दमकुत्सितः ॥ ६ ॥

ardhadagdhadrumavanavyūhaśaivalasaṃkaṭaḥ |
trailokyabhasmasaṃsṛṣṭa āsītkardamakutsitaḥ || 6 ||

The half burnt woods and floating plants, were as its moss and bushes, and the wet ashes of the burnt world, were as the dirty mud underneath the waters.
