The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.74.12

जलैर्गुडगुडायन्त्यो नद्यो नाड्यः सरिद्रसः ।
जम्बूद्वीपं हृदम्भोजमस्य हेमाद्रिकर्णिकम् ॥ १२ ॥

jalairguḍaguḍāyantyo nadyo nāḍyaḥ saridrasaḥ |
jambūdvīpaṃ hṛdambhojamasya hemādrikarṇikam || 12 ||

The rivers with the purling waters in them, resemble the arteries of Virat with the purple blood running in them; and the Jam-bu-dvipa is as his lotiform heart, with the mount Meru as its pericarp.
