The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.71.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इत्युक्त्वा भगवान्ब्रह्मा ब्रह्मलोकजनैः सह ।
बद्धपद्मासनोऽनन्तसमाधानगतोऽभवत् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
ityuktvā bhagavānbrahmā brahmalokajanaiḥ saha |
baddhapadmāsano'nantasamādhānagato'bhavat || 1 ||

Vasishtha added:—So saying, Brahma—the personified Brahman, sat in his posture of devotion—padmasana, and resumed his intense meditation of the samadhi meditation; and so did his celestial companions also.
