The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तस्मादङ्कुरतः पत्रे उभौ विकसतः स्वयम् ।
एकं शास्त्राभिगमनं द्वितीयं साधुसंगमः ॥ १८ ॥
tasmādaṅkurataḥ patre ubhau vikasataḥ svayam |
ekaṃ śāstrābhigamanaṃ dvitīyaṃ sādhusaṃgamaḥ || 18 ||
This germ shoots forth in a couple of leaves, which grow out of themselves upon it; one of them is the knowledge of sastras, and the other is the society of the good and wise.
