The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.105.22

यथागतमयं देहो मत्तोऽन्योऽनुभविष्यति ।
शिखिध्वज उवाच ।
परिदेवनया कोऽर्थो देवपुत्र तथैतया ॥ २२ ॥

yathāgatamayaṃ deho matto'nyo'nubhaviṣyati |
śikhidhvaja uvāca |
paridevanayā ko'rtho devaputra tathaitayā || 22 ||

Sikhidvaja spoke:—Why sorrow you sir for the body, that art the son of a God; let it become whatever may become of it, it can never affect the intangible soul.
