The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथैकदैकान्तगतां चूडालामङ्कमागताम् ।
इदं मधुरया वाचा समुवाच शिखिध्वजः ॥ ११ ॥

athaikadaikāntagatāṃ cūḍālāmaṅkamāgatām |
idaṃ madhurayā vācā samuvāca śikhidhvajaḥ || 11 ||

It happened one day, as he was sitting with his beloved princess reclining on his lap; that he spoke to her as followed, in his mellifluent speech.
