The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गोभूम्यश्वहिरण्यादि ददौ धनमशेषतः ।
द्विजेभ्यो निजबन्धुभ्यो गुण्यगुण्यविचारयन् ॥ ३ ॥

gobhūmyaśvahiraṇyādi dadau dhanamaśeṣataḥ |
dvijebhyo nijabandhubhyo guṇyaguṇyavicārayan || 3 ||

He gave away his kine and lands, his horses and jewels, and his monies without number, to the twice born classes of men and his relatives, without distinction of their merit or demerit.
