The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.39.20

सहस्तपादावयवः सकेशनखदन्तकः ।
स्वदेहसंविदाभासो देवोऽयमिति भावयेत् ॥ २० ॥

sahastapādāvayavaḥ sakeśanakhadantakaḥ |
svadehasaṃvidābhāso devo'yamiti bhāvayet || 20 ||

Then this God (the intelligent individual soul) thinks himself as an embodied being, endued with hands and legs, and the other parts and members of the body, with its hairs, nails, and teeth.
