The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यस्याज्ञानात्मनोऽज्ञस्य देह एवात्मभावना ।
उदितेति रुषैवाक्षरिपवोऽभिभवन्ति तम् ॥ ३ ॥

yasyājñānātmano'jñasya deha evātmabhāvanā |
uditeti ruṣaivākṣaripavo'bhibhavanti tam || 3 ||

He who is so senseless as to take his body for the soul, is soon found to be upset by his unruly senses; as a charioteer is thrown down by his head-strong and restive horses.
