चित्ताहंकारयोर्द्वित्वं वचस्यस्ति न वस्तुतः ।
यच्चित्तं स ह्यहंकारो योऽहंकारो मनो हि तत् ॥ ५ ॥

cittāhaṃkārayordvitvaṃ vacasyasti na vastutaḥ |
yaccittaṃ sa hyahaṃkāro yo'haṃkāro mano hi tat || 5 ||

The duality of the mind and its egoism, is only a verbal distinction and not distinct in reality; for egoism is but a thought chitta, and the thought is no other than the mind or manas.
