The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तदभावे महामोहतापसंपत्तिदायिनि ।
किंचिज्जातविवेकेन स्वप्तव्यं नेह धीमता ॥ ३४ ॥

tadabhāve mahāmohatāpasaṃpattidāyini |
kiṃcijjātavivekena svaptavyaṃ neha dhīmatā || 34 ||

For want of such men, the world is a desert, burning under the darkening heat of ignorance, where no wise man should allow himself to rest in peace and quiet.
