The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सुस्निग्धशीतलच्छायां प्रकटां रत्नदीपकैः ।
सुगुप्तां वनदेवीनामन्तःपुरकुटीमिव ॥ ५१ ॥

susnigdhaśītalacchāyāṃ prakaṭāṃ ratnadīpakaiḥ |
suguptāṃ vanadevīnāmantaḥpurakuṭīmiva || 51 ||

It afforded a cool and congenial shade, emblazoned by the mild light of the bright gems in its bosom; and appeared to be the secret haunt of woodland goddesses, that chanced to sport therein.
