The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नानावर्णरसामोदैस्तास्तमाशु विलेपनैः ।
अलेपयन्प्रभाजालैर्नगोऽभ्रमिव धातुभिः ॥ ३९ ॥

nānāvarṇarasāmodaistāstamāśu vilepanaiḥ |
alepayanprabhājālairnago'bhramiva dhātubhiḥ || 39 ||

They put a great many paints and pastes upon his person, which decorated it, as the rays of the sun, paint the mountain with the many colours of its minerals.
