The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.44.24

विपर्यस्तेक्षणं प्रातर्मग्नतारमिवाम्बरम् ।
सावग्रहमिव ग्रामं सर्वतः पांसुधूसरम् ॥ २४ ॥

viparyastekṣaṇaṃ prātarmagnatāramivāmbaram |
sāvagrahamiva grāmaṃ sarvataḥ pāṃsudhūsaram || 24 ||

His eye balls were as dull and dim, as the stars of the morning are shorn of their beams; and the ground seemed to be as dry to him as in a drought of rain water, and filled with flying dust on all sides.
