The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.32.52

भवतां भूरिसङ्गानामधुनेन्द्रियदामतः ।
इतःप्रभृति मा भूयो गम्यतामधमादधः ॥ ५२ ॥

bhavatāṃ bhūrisaṅgānāmadhunendriyadāmataḥ |
itaḥprabhṛti mā bhūyo gamyatāmadhamādadhaḥ || 52 ||

Do not allow yourself henceforward to be degraded below the vulgar; but consider well the sastras as the best weapons, for defeating the dangers and difficulties of the world.
