The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शोच्या पाल्या मयैवेयं स्वसेयं मे कनीयसी ।
त्रिलोकी पेलवेत्युच्चैर्यः पश्यति स पश्यति ॥ ३४ ॥

śocyā pālyā mayaiveyaṃ svaseyaṃ me kanīyasī |
trilokī pelavetyuccairyaḥ paśyati sa paśyati || 34 ||

He is wise, who looks with pity upon the frail world, and compassionates the earth as his younger sister.
