The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्वान्तःसंस्थजगज्जालं भावाभावैः क्रमभ्रमैः ।
पश्यति स्वान्तरेवाशु स्फारं बीज इव द्रुमम् ॥ २७ ॥

svāntaḥsaṃsthajagajjālaṃ bhāvābhāvaiḥ kramabhramaiḥ |
paśyati svāntarevāśu sphāraṃ bīja iva drumam || 27 ||

This principle of life and thought, sees the multitudinous worlds situated with all their vicissitudes within itself, as the large tree and all its parts and productions, are observed to be contained within the seed.
