The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तस्याः सत्त्वमसत्त्वं च न सन्नासदिति स्थितम् ।
सत्सदेव हि संवित्तेरसंवित्तेरसन्मयम् ॥ ३१ ॥

tasyāḥ sattvamasattvaṃ ca na sannāsaditi sthitam |
satsadeva hi saṃvitterasaṃvitterasanmayam || 31 ||

Nothing has its entity or non-entity, nor can anything be said to exist or not to be, unless we have a positive idea of the existent, and a negative notion of the in-existent.
