The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वासनावागुराकृष्टो मनोहरिणको नृणाम् ।
परां विवशतामेति संसारवनगुल्मके ॥ ११ ॥

vāsanāvāgurākṛṣṭo manohariṇako nṛṇām |
parāṃ vivaśatāmeti saṃsāravanagulmake || 11 ||

The minds of men being entangled in the net of avarice like poor stags, are rendered as helpless as these beasts of prey, in the forest of the world.
