The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अनभ्यस्तविवेकं हि देशकालवशानुगम् ।
मन्त्रौषधिवशं याति मनो नोदारवृत्तिमत् ॥ १५ ॥

anabhyastavivekaṃ hi deśakālavaśānugam |
mantrauṣadhivaśaṃ yāti mano nodāravṛttimat || 15 ||

The mind unpracticed to reasoning, is led away by the currents of time and place, but the noble-minded are not subject to the influence of incantations and enchanting spells.
