223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.97.26

चिनोति मलिनं रूपं चित्ततां समुपागतम् ।
त्रिजगन्तीन्द्रजालानि रचयत्याकुलात्मकम् ॥ २६ ॥

cinoti malinaṃ rūpaṃ cittatāṃ samupāgatam |
trijagantīndrajālāni racayatyākulātmakam || 26 ||

The pure intellect being changed to the state of the changeful mind, takes a debased figure; and then being confounded in itself, weaves the magic web of the world to entangle itself in the same.
