The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इत्युक्तो राजसिंहेन भरतो मुनिसत्तमः ।
यथावत्प्रविचार्याशु पापं तस्य दुरात्मनः ॥ ४ ॥

ityukto rājasiṃhena bharato munisattamaḥ |
yathāvatpravicāryāśu pāpaṃ tasya durātmanaḥ || 4 ||

Being thus besought by the great king, Bharata the best of the wise munis; considered well in his mind, the crime of this wicked soul Indra.
