The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तस्मिंस्तदा निवसतो नित्यं स्वजनमण्डले ।
तस्य प्राणसमा भार्या काचित्तस्यां महात्मनः ॥ ४ ॥

tasmiṃstadā nivasato nityaṃ svajanamaṇḍale |
tasya prāṇasamā bhāryā kācittasyāṃ mahātmanaḥ || 4 ||

He resided in his residence with all his relatives, and passed his time agreeably in company with his wife, who was dear to his heart as his second self.
