The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.84.24

एवमादिमयी मिथ्यासंकल्पकलना मिता ।
अज्ञानामवबोधार्थं नतु भेदोऽस्ति वस्तुनि ॥ २४ ॥

evamādimayī mithyāsaṃkalpakalanā mitā |
ajñānāmavabodhārthaṃ natu bhedo'sti vastuni || 24 ||

So the attribution, of the primary volition to the Deity, is a false imputation also. Yet it is usual to say so for the instruction of the ignorant; though there is no change in his nature from its nolliety to velleity.
