The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जग्मुः शमं तमांस्याशु शस्त्रकानलदीपकैः ।
बभूवुरखिला सेना नवनाराचरोमशाः ॥ २५ ॥

jagmuḥ śamaṃ tamāṃsyāśu śastrakānaladīpakaiḥ |
babhūvurakhilā senā navanārācaromaśāḥ || 25 ||

The darkness of the night was put to flight by the blaze of the weapons; and the whole army was pierced by arrows, sticking as the hairs on their bodies.
