The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.40.43

ततो दिक्कालकलनास्तदाधारतया स्थिताः ।
उद्यन्त्यनुदिता एव वायोः स्पन्दक्रिया इव ॥ ४३ ॥

tato dikkālakalanāstadādhāratayā sthitāḥ |
udyantyanuditā eva vāyoḥ spandakriyā iva || 43 ||

Then seated in the embryo, it reposes in a certain position for sometime, and inflated itself like the air, until it is fully expanded.
