The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रणरक्तरुचिर्व्योमदर्पणप्रतिबिम्बिता ।
जहौ सूर्यशिरश्छेदे संध्यालेखोदभूत्क्षणम् ॥ २ ॥

raṇaraktarucirvyomadarpaṇapratibimbitā |
jahau sūryaśiraśchede saṃdhyālekhodabhūtkṣaṇam || 2 ||

The sky which had reflected the blood-red flush of the field of blood, was now dimmed by the setting of the glorious sun, and darkened by the veil of evening.
