The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उत्ताल्वर्धमृतेभाश्ववार्यमाणाल्पजीवितम् ।
वहद्रक्तनदीवीचिप्रहारहतदुन्दुभि ॥ ३० ॥

uttālvardhamṛtebhāśvavāryamāṇālpajīvitam |
vahadraktanadīvīciprahārahatadundubhi || 30 ||

Elephants and horses of noble breed, lay dead and others gasping with their mouths gaping upwards; and the dashing of the waving streams of blood, beat as loud as drums against their rock-like bodies.
