The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बहद्रक्तसरित्स्रोतस्तरङ्गारवघर्घरम् ।
साक्रन्दार्धमृताहूतसप्राणव्यग्रमानवम् ॥ १९ ॥

bahadraktasaritsrotastaraṅgāravaghargharam |
sākrandārdhamṛtāhūtasaprāṇavyagramānavam || 19 ||

The gory bodies were gushing with blood, and gurgling as the waves of the sea; and the cries of the wounded who wished to live, pierced the ears, and throbbed the heart strings of the living.
