The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उत्क्षिप्तमन्दरक्षीरसमुद्रवदनाकुलम् ।
सैन्यं प्रशाम्यदावर्तं शनैः साम्यमुपाययौ ॥ १६ ॥

utkṣiptamandarakṣīrasamudravadanākulam |
sainyaṃ praśāmyadāvartaṃ śanaiḥ sāmyamupāyayau || 16 ||

The armies being at rest, there was an end of all agitation in the field; as the waves of the ocean are lulled to rest, on its calm after a storm.
