The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पलायनपरैः पश्चात्त्यक्तमङ्गुलमण्डलम् ।
विसारिमकरव्यूहमत्स्यसंख्याब्धिभासुरम् ॥ १८ ॥

palāyanaparaiḥ paścāttyaktamaṅgulamaṇḍalam |
visārimakaravyūhamatsyasaṃkhyābdhibhāsuram || 18 ||

The retreaters were flying from their stronger assailants, who kept running after them, in the manner of sharks pursuing the shoals of fishes in the sea.
