The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.50

बालो व्योमैव वेतालं म्रियमाणोऽम्बरे वनम् ।
केशोण्ड्रकं खमन्यस्तु खमन्यो वेत्ति मौक्तिकम् ॥ ५० ॥

bālo vyomaiva vetālaṃ mriyamāṇo'mbare vanam |
keśoṇḍrakaṃ khamanyastu khamanyo vetti mauktikam || 50 ||

So boys see ghosts in the air, and the dying man views a forest in it; others see elephants in clouds, and some see pearls in sun-beams.
