The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.24.14

महामरकताभाभिः शाद्वलस्थलनीलिमम् ।
द्रष्टृदृश्यक्षयासक्तजातध्वान्तोत्थकालिमम् ॥ १४ ॥

mahāmarakatābhābhiḥ śādvalasthalanīlimam |
draṣṭṛdṛśyakṣayāsaktajātadhvāntotthakālimam || 14 ||

They saw in some place mountains of emerald, tinging the landscape with verdant green, as it were a bed of grass; and in others some dark cloud, dimming the sight of the spectator, and hiding the spectacle in dark blackness.
