The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नृत्यगीतकलालास्यतालताण्डवमण्डनैः ।
संगीतकैः संकथनैर्वीणामुरजवादनैः ॥ १६ ॥

nṛtyagītakalālāsyatālatāṇḍavamaṇḍanaiḥ |
saṃgītakaiḥ saṃkathanairvīṇāmurajavādanaiḥ || 16 ||

They had their manly and womanly dances, the sprightly tandava and the merry lasya; and songs of masculine and effeminate voices the Kala and gita. They had symphonious and euphonious music, and played on the lute and tabor,
