The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.18.45

आसाद्यते महाज्ञानबोधः संसारशान्तिदः ।
न भूयो जायते येन योनियन्त्रप्रपीडनम् ॥ ४५ ॥

āsādyate mahājñānabodhaḥ saṃsāraśāntidaḥ |
na bhūyo jāyate yena yoniyantraprapīḍanam || 45 ||

You can derive happiness at each place and time, from your own observations, as also from your association with the good wherever it is available. This is an optional rule.
